Little Angel and I finally caught a copy of New Moon! So on Saturday night we pulled the futon mattress into the living room and sat so close it was like being back at the theater except more comfortable. lol. She was the student of the week on Friday so Lil Buckaroo and I went for show and tell. She showed off her little brother and a whole bag full of goodies. I brought stuff to make root beer floats. Let me just say, BIG hit! She said everyone said her's was one of their favorites! Way to go Momma ;)

You know how people always say the dryer ate the sock? Well apparently we were blaming it on the wrong appliance! Our WASHER ate Lil Buckaroo's sock and chocked!

Well we tried cereal yesterday. Not necessarily to eat it but to experiment. lol. Just introducing the spoon and concept of eating. He did not care much for it-even with Little Angel putting on a convincing show of how good it taste. I opted for oatmeal instead of rice. I personally like oatmeal better and the box says that both can be introduced at 4 months.

We tried again today. He did not care for it at first but after trying again he sort of slurped it off the spoon. I diluted one teaspoon in one tablespoon of formula (which Little Angel sampled and thought was gross) However, she said the oatmeal and formula was not half bad ;) He almost ate all of it! He definitely lets me know when he does not want anymore with pursed lips but he tolerated many spoonfuls.

I also introduced a sippy cup made by Playtex that can be started as early as 4 months. Once again, I am not trying to get him to drink out of it necessarily-just get used to a cup. Well he shocked my socks off when he drank several gulps! I only put about an ounce and when he finished his bottle I just stuck it in his mouth and he drank almost all of it! Like I said, I am just trying to introduce the spoon and cup for the experience. I let him play with the cup for a few days and mouth it before I put anything in it.

My husband is going to have a week off! I have one more week of spring break and he will be home with me too :) I have really enjoyed having one week with Little Angel, one with Lil' Buckaroo, and then with my husband. He promises he is going to be taking care of the kids. lol. Lil' Buckaroo and I have really been bonding with me home....so much so that he does not want to stay with sitter. When my best friend came in to town I dropped him at the sitter's house-whom he LOVES. Well he cried the whole time :( At least I know he loves me-you know the working mom guilt. However, I think he was just thrown off that she was not picking him up at my work plus I told him I was spending the whole next month with him. lol. He KNEW he was not supposed to be at the sitter's house!
