Wow! Already a month!

It is amazing how quickly time goes by! My Little Angel is in the big 3rd grade and we finally finished the summer reading project :) My husband has been working at his new job for a month and already had two consecutive days off (I have not had two days in a row since I met him...well atleast not that i recall.lol) Charlie has a playmate now that my sis is in town. My mom jokingly asked which one I wanted to take and I said Maggie without a moment of hesistation. She and Charlie love to play, she can sleep with Little Angel, and she is a sweet dog. We tried one of my mother's other dogs and it just did not work-she woke up too early and did not get along with Charlie. Little Angel has been begging for someone or something to sleep with her so I found a temporary solution :)

I am now working full time as a teacher and absolutely loving it! It probably helps that I just had a five day weekend. Everyone is giving me a hard time about all my time off but to my credit we do not have another long break until Thanksgiving. The teacher I am working with is only a year older than me and we just mesh. We have the youngest tikes from barely over a year to 3 1/2. They are all adorable and sweet, sweet. Three of them take two naps a day, and three take one nap. This may sound like Heaven-well it is-but it is also hard to stay on a snack, diaper, learning time, and activity time schedule when they are constantly falling asleep at different times! They are a very cuddly class which I LOVE :)

I have also started my Masters in Early Intervention. Once a week I will drive 2 hours to class and the other one is online work. I am such a nerd. I was SO excited to get my textbooks and dive in! One class is about play based assessments used to diagnose children's level and the other is parenting approach to development. I am really excited about getting a degree to read books I wanted to read anyway to understand my classroom children better.

Little Angel and I were practicing braiding while I was reading my "Parenting from the Inside Out" She asked me, "Momma are you reading that to know how to take care of me? Because you don't need that." I am glad to know that she thinks I do an ok job because sometimes I am at a loss. Earlier in this court process me and my husband took a parenting class to help with the custody process. Little Angel found the brochure and proceeded to tell me that I knew a whole lot more than most of the Mommas she knew! Talk about sweet girl. I mean those are THE moments.

Well I better get on my reading while I have peace and quiet :)

Little Angel just said, "Momma you should have a baby-you love babies so much you should have one. I think you and Daddy should go to bed tonight and have a baby." Ummmm. Hopefully she does not grasp what that means...

These are the pictures I stole from my cousin's page. I had a wonderful time hanging out with Linzy and baby Stone. He was such a pleasant baby until he started getting gassy the last few days. I pretty much took him from Linzy every chance I got. The only I didn't-and couldn't-hold him was when he was breastfeeding. He was an absolute doll and I enjoyed every minute-even the hours he spent crying over his hurting belly.

I would go steal him from Linzy around 7-after his first feeding and go take him to her when he was ready to eat. She was trying to do Baby Wise and feed him every 2 1/2 - 3 hours. However, we did not abide by the "fall asleep on own" while I was there because I held him :)

I insisted on carrying him in and out of the car and stores. I even carried him in his sling every chance I got. I may be the only person who loves toting around the car seat.

Linzy and I grew up right down the street from each other so it is hard to be so far apart now (she is Washington and I am in the south) I am so excited about my sister moving so that our kids can grow up together and stay and my parent's house together. All four of the girl cousin stayed with my grandparents and loved it!

This is at Little Angel's splash party on Saturday. They played in the sprinkler, water balloons, and water guns. Charlie tried to join in on the fun too :) (you can see him in the left corner) These girls are the daughters of Eddie's good friends from way back. They have been real nice to me and accepted me too. Their girls play with Little Angel when we lived closer.

We are no longer the "free baby sitters" anymore! Yesterday we got permanent custody of Little Angel. As Little Angel puts it, "The man went *bam bam* now you are gonna live with your Daddy from now on!" She seemed excited about spending Christmas with us and getting some professional family pictures since she was gone for all that last year. I genuinely think she is relieved that it for good now. I talked to her about how when I said that before we did not have custody but we thought TaTa wanted us to but then she changed her mind. However, having custody means that there is no changing it!

When I picked her up today I was a little later because it was really storming. When I walked in her teacher walked her to me (which she never does) and I saw that she was hysterically crying. Apparently she pinched a mean girl and has been crying ever since. I had the "motherly" talk in front of the teacher but had a more heart to heart later. I know that little girl she pinched was mean but I told her that is never the answer. lol. I know she knew it was wrong. She has just been really emotional lately and just had a slip. I think the way she was crying made the teacher think she was going to get beat or something. When the teacher asked what happens when she get in trouble Little Angel said, "I don't know...I don't get in trouble." She really doesn't!
